| Recognising that timber is an important natural resource, we have an established Timber Purchasing Policy, basing our commercial activities on well-managed forests. As a company we: |

- Have implemented a formal Environmental Management System (EMS) and have achieved accreditation to the internationally recognised ISO 14001 standard
- Are signatories to the Timber Trade Federation 'Forest Forever' Environmental Timber Purchasing Policy
- Have requested detailed information from our timber suppliers as to the degree to which their products have been drawn from sources with certification to forest management standards. A significant proportion of our timber is procured from suppliers who have achieved certification to the PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification) or FSC (Forest Stewardship Councol) standards
- Will continue to challenge all of our timber suppliers to improve their own performance and to increase the percentage of product that they supply to us that is certified to one of the above standards
- Have commenced a process of achieving FSC and PEFC chain of custody for timber and forest products. All procedures are in place and initial external audits completed
